About VinylFlipper

VinylFlipper.com is an independent vinyl and audio equipment resource owned and operated by VinylFlipper Media, based in Culver City, California, United States. The site publishes guides, reviews, tutorials, and educational content related to vinyl records, turntables, phono equipment, and music collecting.

VinylFlipper is not a retailer. We do not sell physical products, process payments, or fulfil orders. Any purchase you make through a link on our site is a transaction between you and the respective third-party retailer, governed by their own terms and policies.

Acceptance of Terms

By visiting, browsing, reading, or otherwise using VinylFlipper.com, you enter into a legally binding agreement with VinylFlipper Media under these Terms of Service. This agreement takes effect immediately upon your first visit to the site.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this site. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the site and that they have agreed to these terms on your behalf.

If you are accessing the site on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms, and the word “you” in these terms refers to both you and that entity.

You are welcome to read, share, and reference our content for personal, non-commercial purposes. In return, we ask that you use the site in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with its intended purpose.

You may:

  • Access and read any publicly available content on the site.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, republish, scrape, or copy substantial portions of our content on any other website, publication, or platform without our prior written permission.
  • Use our content for commercial purposes — including AI training datasets, content farms, or commercial publications — without a licence from us.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or associated systems.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract content or data from the site in bulk.
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data to or through the site.

User-Submitted Content

VinylFlipper may allow users to submit content in the form of comments, contact form messages, or other communications. By submitting content to us, you grant VinylFlipper Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the site.

You retain ownership of any content you submit. However, by submitting it, you confirm that:

  • You own the content or have the right to submit it.
  • The content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • The content is not defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or otherwise unlawful.
  • The content does not contain spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional material.
  • The content does not contain malicious code, links to harmful sites, or deceptive information.

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any user-submitted content at our discretion without notice. We are not obligated to publish, retain, or respond to any submission.

Comments policy: We welcome respectful discussion about vinyl, audio, and related topics. Comments that are abusive, off-topic, or in violation of these terms will be removed. Repeat offenders may be permanently blocked from commenting.

Affiliate Links & Third-Party Sites

VinylFlipper.com contains affiliate links to third-party retailers and product pages. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This is disclosed in full in our Affiliate Disclaimer.

Links to third-party websites are provided for your convenience and information only. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, security, or terms of service. The inclusion of a link to a third-party site does not imply our endorsement of that site beyond the specific product or resource we have linked to.

Any transaction you enter into with a third-party retailer — including purchases, returns, disputes, and data sharing — is governed entirely by that retailer’s own policies. VinylFlipper has no involvement in and accepts no responsibility for those transactions.

Price & availability: Prices and product availability shown on VinylFlipper are for reference only and may not reflect current conditions on the retailer’s site. Always verify before purchasing.

Disclaimer of Warranties

VinylFlipper.com and all content published on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind — either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VinylFlipper Media expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Warranties that the site will be available uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
  • Warranties that the information on the site is accurate, complete, current, or reliable for any specific purpose.
  • Warranties regarding the results that may be obtained from using any information or recommendation on the site.

Important: Our content — including turntable reviews, setup guides, and product recommendations — reflects our honest opinion based on testing and research. However, audio equipment performance can vary based on individual setups, listening environments, and personal preferences. You should always conduct your own research before making a significant purchase.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VinylFlipper Media, its founders, writers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the site or its content.
  • Any purchase decision made based on information or recommendations on the site.
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any content published on the site.
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data or transmissions.
  • Any content or conduct of any third party on or linked from the site.
  • Any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the site or its services.

In no event shall VinylFlipper Media’s total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the site exceed the amount of one hundred US dollars ($100), regardless of the form of the claim or the theory of liability.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions or limitations. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VinylFlipper Media, its founders, writers, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the site in violation of these Terms of Service.
  • Any content you submit, post, or transmit through the site.
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Any claim that your submitted content caused damage to a third party.

We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us in asserting any available defences.

Privacy

Your use of VinylFlipper.com is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. By using the site, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains in full what personal data we collect, how we use it, how long we retain it, your rights over it, and how to contact us with privacy-related requests. We encourage you to read it carefully.

Modifications to the Site & Content

VinylFlipper reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site — including specific articles, features, or the site as a whole — at any time and without prior notice. We are under no obligation to maintain any particular piece of content indefinitely.

We regularly update our content to reflect new products, changing recommendations, reader feedback, and evolving best practices in the vinyl world. An article you read today may differ from its previous version. We consider this a feature, not a bug — we believe in keeping information accurate rather than preserving outdated advice.

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the site or its content.

Termination of Access

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate your access to VinylFlipper.com at our sole discretion and without prior notice if we believe you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in abusive behaviour, or acted in a way that is harmful to the site, its users, or third parties.

Termination may include blocking your IP address, removing any content you have submitted, and reporting your activity to law enforcement where appropriate.

You may also choose to stop using the site at any time. Your obligations under these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply after termination.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith informal negotiation. You agree to contact us at info@vinylflipper.com before initiating any formal legal proceedings, and to give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the issue.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

For EU and UK users: Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU or UK consumer protection law. Mandatory statutory rights under your local law are not excluded by these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify newsletter subscribers directly.

Your continued use of VinylFlipper.com following the posting of updated terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you disagree with any updated terms, your only recourse is to stop using the site.

We encourage you to review these terms periodically — particularly if you are a regular contributor or active commenter on the site.

Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and VinylFlipper Media regarding your use of the site and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings — whether written or oral — relating to this subject matter.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
